Cleveland Thomas Michie, Sr.

Cleveland Thomas Michie, Sr., 74, of Charlottesville died Wednesday,
April 15, 2009 at his residence after a long illness battle.

He was born in Greene County on September 4, 1934 to the late Willie B.
Michie and Carrie Carpenter Michie. Beside his parents, he was preceded
in death by his wife, Jerry A. Michie, his sons, William Mathew Taylor,
Herman Lee Michie, his daughters, Amy Carter, Jenny Falkner; his brothers
George, Willie, Clarence, Earnest Michie

He is survived by his three sons, Cleveland Thomas Michie, Jr., Fred
Scott, Maurice Fuller, six daughters, Brenda Michie, Rita Michie,
Leveonia Michie, Lisa Michie, Kerry Michie, and Clevesha Godfrey, 15
grandchildren and 22 great grand children; one sister, Dorothy Willis and
a host of nieces and nephews, two loving devoted friends, Hattie
Timberlake and Debra Goddfrey.

Cleveland spent his life dedicated to being self-employed in his dry wall
contracting business. Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman.

There will be a service Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11 AM at Shiloh
Baptist Church in Stanardsville conducted by Pastor Harrison Williams.

The Michie family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM (one hour
prior to service) at the church.

The family requests that any donations be made in Cleveland's memory to
Hospice. 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway. Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
